Newly Enlightened
Hi,
This is my first mod here, anyway please accept my apologize to my poor english sometimes.
I've got cree module of Litemania via Thai Flashlight Shop. And I've planned to mod my M6 to LED long long time ago but not have a good chance.
This cree module is very helpful for me to fulfill my M6 mod, However the spring of this module is very soft then it cannot make the tailswitch ON (Compare with the very strong spring from the xenon M6 lamp)
However , I cannot wait for the clicky from Flashlightlens.com.
So I try to find some switch to use instead of current M6 switch.
First , look at the components of M6 switch, I keep no.1(without spring) and no.2 part for mod. (Rubber cap is on the right)
and I use the switch from Superfire 2x123A body and use the components no.3 and no.4 for mod.
Fortunately, The diameter of switch board is perfectly fitted to M6 tailcap.
I have to cut off some spring (no.3) in order to fit the no.1 part.
I've got the red paper-liked washer from the electronic shop (I don't know what is this) . By together using with no.4 part to prevent short circuit between no.1 and no.2 part.
Brass wire is also needed to get good contact height of the switch
Shrink tube is used at pin of no.1 part to prevent short circuit.
The dremel is used to expand the diameter of no.2 part to fit.
Finished.....NO....
I have to cut down ~2.5 mm.of the body to keep the batt negative contact to switch
Here is the beam shot compare with L2T (in cr123a body)
(1/20 sec, f 2.0 ISO 100 Manual WB)
First is L2T (in Cr123a body)
Then cree module
Lucky for me, it works
