Would like to know what is a good pen light.Buget between 20 to 60.thankyou for your answer.have a great day:sssh:

+1 assuming you want a 2xAAA format. Alternatively, you can also get the Fenix LD05 at a substantial discount from outdoorbunker right now.

Yep, the Preon 2 is your best bet. Check out 4sevens.com for some great lights!

I can't think of any other 2xAAA lights that are more in the budget category. The preon uses the latest XP-G emitter so will be your brightest candidate by a good margin.

Do realize though that you can easily get an itp A3 upgrade version for around 20 bucks. It uses 1xAAA and is very thin and small. Not a penlight per se, but it produces around 80 lumens on high. They are well made and well received. Great for keychains.

Goinggear also sells preon 2s (2xAAA) in a variety of colors for 45 bucks as well as black titanium for 48. Just another shopping choice to consider if looking for a specific color.

I'll add my vote for the preon II. Or get the Preon kit and you will have the option to switch between 1 and 2 AAA at will.

+1 for the Preon 2. I got mine in Titanium and it was just above the $60 mark. They do have the aluminum for less. You won't regret it.

Another vote for the Preon II.

Got a black Preon kit when these were available at Unique Titanium. (No longer the case. But they do still sell Preon lights. Great to deal with.)

I decided to use the Preon I tailcap on the Preon II body. Ended up with an excellent penlight that sits deep in a back pocket. No issues about it accidentally turning on since that configuration makes it a twist-only light with the max output of a standard Preon II.

I found the clicky switch of the Preon II to be too sensative when switching modes, and the metal tailcap cover has an annoying tendency to rotate in place. Solved both issues by using the Preon I tailcap, instead.

(I use my Preon as a secondary light. For a main-use light, I'd stick with a stock Preon II.)
