Has anyone seen this in person? is it swappable with SF lamps?

I think it is a rather clever idea that there is a retractable collar to protect the strike bezel.

I don't have one, but I know that Pentagon's bulb assemblies are not interchangeable with Surefire's.

Maybe hit up five mega, but first, the group buy section. As soon as everyones got one it won't be long before we want them brighter. Man that thing is pretty cool.

I was looking at their site they have what looks like a lux k2 conversion head, (probably the older style, not sure what ma driver is set to either:thinking but it seems it fits in the same head as the 6v and 9v incans and might be a direct drop in. Might be able to retrofit with a p4 led.

The Porcupine looks promising, I love the retractable teeth idea. This is a light that definitely has a little more "bite" than its "bark". I have a GG&G strike bezel for my SF 6P but now I wish I invested that $50 in a Pentagonlight!!!

Got pics of your Strike Bezel? where did you get it and how much?

One thing to note is that the teeth do NOT retract. there is collar/sleeve that twists up and down. So it twists up to cover and hide the teeth. and twists down to reveal the teeth.

Same idea really, I believe everyone is aware of that concept. The retracting collar idea is IMO more efficient and practical than a push-button device that'll retract the teeth. That is, if such a "push-button" retractable teeth device existed. I was thinking about custom making one just for fun, it'll be like one of Batman's tools on his belt.

I got something really similar to that a few years ago.

Just go to google and type in "automatic ice pick". Can be purchased without needing to be law enforcement.

The only problem is if the tip is worn down it is really difficult to retract the spike back into the body.

I agree, a retracting bezel would be more prone to failure and would need some sort of system to lock it in place (think otf auto knives). It would be more complex/expensive. The collar is a more practical solution.:thumbsup:
