Pentagon lights

Help Support Candle Power:

Thanks for the link. I think Pentagon has some very interesting lights in the works.

The AR2 Avenger weaponlight and of particular interest to me, the L3T-RI Trooper

I'll keep my eye on Pentagon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I sent them an e mail, considering becoming a dealer. I will be stocking LDI lights soon also. pentagon has some interesting things.

Sorry, but when I looked at their site, one word came to mind: vaporware. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

I like the part where their website said. . . "our website debuted to great acclaim!" or something like that. I don't think the government would let them say that if it wasn't true /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

Can't all be vaporware, afterall they've been selling some models and some people on CPF have them.

If they have working prototypes that are being tested and/or waiting for enough cash or the optimum time to go into production they are no more vaporware than the SF U2.

You gotta be kidding, Aloft! You or anyone else can launch a website that says anything it wants and host it in singapore. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif False claims, ripped off software, fake watches etc /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif. No problem. Thats not to say it won't get taken down. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
But back to Pentagon. I would like to see their top of of the line SF M4 imitator and a side by side shootout. Alas, no picture, no stock. Seems interesting- maybe they are just starting up- my guess- another Chinese or Taiwan outfit in the great state of California. If they are anywhere as good as Nuwai they will have a good product for the money. Just remember, Vaporeware is a possibility. If they are real, I will buy and try. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Maybe someone CAN rival SF at half the price.... Time will tell. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh2.gif

Tesla. . . in fact, I AM KIDDING. Thats what I usually use the little icons for! By the way, my own website will soon be debuting to great acclaim. . . be sure to send me some money!

I think it has been mentioned before but Pentagon had a large and expensive booth at SHOT this year. The booth was similar to their web site; indicative of a large and diverse product line that was "still to come". With glossy literature and some dummies and mockups, They certainly weren't shy with their marketing dollars!! It's an interesting contrast with smaller companies who ship real product in zip lock bags! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif It would seem from the outside that Pentagon is trying to create demand and legitimacy prior to supply. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif They *seem* to have laid a significant foundation and we can only wait to see if, what and when something is built upon it.

Am I the only one who got a kick out of the photo of their physical location?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcorn.gif If they show up at SHOT again this coming January with a similar size booth, I would suggest that they are either commited or should be commited! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

“…It is the flashlight of choice for emergency, law enforcement, and military communities…”

Interesting, I thought Surefire was the military flashlight of choice. I couldn't find any specs for physical dimensions, weight or finish, and I was surprised at the double hex tail as seen in this photo.

Dano,

Thanks for that reference. I couldn't find any specs for physical dimensions, weight or finish on their site but your photos show how big (and presumably heavy) their lights are. If their lamps are superior to Surefire in brightness and efficiency I wonder if they are transplantable to the smaller and lighter 6P and others.

Your chrome (or is it "satin") 6P is really beautiful; never saw one before.

Alright mister, calm down there. Seems like people have used it, and it does exist, and you were a little paranoid for no reason.....
me on the other hand will stick to mySurefires for the moment....

I have a Pentagon light, good light for the money. I haven't really tried to abuse it much yet and see how it holds up compaired to my Surefires. My only compaint so far was the long process of getting the light. Their server went down during my order so I phoned in my order, a lady whose native language was not English, to my order. Two weeks later she called back and wanted my order again. A week went buy and I received another call, to inform me that part of my order, a clickie switch, was not going to be available, did I still want my order. I confirmed my order and 3 days later I received another phone call wanted to verify my address. Each call I got was from the same lady who understood limited English, after 10 more days I received my order.
Overall decent light but, they need to get their act together. Seems to me they need a little more time before going mainstream with their products.
I would try calling if anyone wants to order, but be in for a long wait.

Hey, where can I get in line for some of that?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Their booth at the NRA convention in Pittsburgh this year got my attention, where I picked up a catalog and pricelist. Very nice quality and the 20 lumen 1w L2 with a red luxeon will blind you. My feeling is they are busy filling Govt. orders and trying to get production up to demand; their "anti-recoil" series may be seeing some "action" IF'n u know what I mean.
My original order, taken by the same indivdual with dubious english language skills, was held up waiting for a part to arrive. I called to check on the order on August 25th and spoke with a different representative who was very understandable. After speaking with her I changed my order to an S2 (19 led flood) while I wait for the 3w head currently undergoing design changes. It arrived in 2 days fed-ex, it's a great product and likely to be competitive with similiar products. I'd peruse their website and call to see what is available for shipping otherwise you may have a delay.
Mike

You guys try some first, When their website is up and other's confirm they can get some product in 2 days without a hassle, I will take their big bad boy SF knockoff. Maybe I am impatient but heck I can get custom one of a kind from certain modders on CPF in 10 days or less. Real companies with premade stock already in blister packs ship and produce in 2 days via UPS or Fedex. No excuses. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
We will see.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Hm... domain records show a California address, and the hosting company is located in Washington.

Someone with more patience than I can try to determine information on the Pentagon Light Corporation's California business registration.

Burlingame, Ca. is mostly residential, though there is a business district near SFO.
