Does a single-mode driver for 18650 exist with high only (one amp current) which blinks or goes to moon mode when the cell is around 2.8/3.0 volts?

I am thinking of the same driver as in the L-Mini II which has a dead-flat output curve and low-voltage cutoff, but with one amp drive current only, preferably max. of $15 to $18 U.S. dollars.

To me, this would be the perfect 18650 driver.

?

Doesn't the MG L-Mini II have memory? There's no reason you can't treat it as a single mode light, just don't ever switch modes.

It is, however, about twice the price as what you're hoping for.

You might want to ask Bryan at Shingbeam about it. I believe that he had the L-mini II driver custom designed for him, so he might be able to help you find a way to do the same for you.

Yep, the driver for the L-Mini II has memory.

They are $10.10 after CPF discount, plus shipping.
I've bought 3 of them so far and have them installed in P60 drop-ins.

I own the L-Mini II and absolutely love it. However, I am looking for a driver with those properties but one mode only for use in forward clicky lights. The main reason is so that I can use this driver for momentary use and never worry about it changing modes.

Excellent suggestion! I'll ask him about it.

Thanks, Black Rose. :) I am still hunting for something with single-mode, though.

EDIT: It's not that I don't appreciate the suggestions, I do! But the hunt for a single-mode driver with the properties of Shiningbeam's driver continues...
