Photon name ripoff?

Howdy folks, just stepping out of the dark corners for a moment (I usually consider myself a lurker).

I saw this on Wired.Com's GeekDad blog (http://blog.wired.com/geekdad/2008/01/dadhacks-light.html).

It's a story about LED tricked-out skateboards from a site called photonlightboards.com. Assuming they are not affiliated with LRI, if I were LRI I'd have a lawyer pounding on them. Heck, the name that shows up in the title bar of my browser when on their site says "Photon Lights".

Being a fan of LRI's offerings (particularly the Freedom), this irks me (obviously, thus this post).

What are your thoughts? Is there anyone here from LRI (or otherwise knowledgeable) that can comment?

Wow, I just realized I've never posted here at all, even though I've been a member since May 2006. Sheesh! Regardless, I've gotten a lot of great information from these forums as well as finding some great places to get lights and batteries.

My favorite EDC light? A new SF L1 Cree from BatteryJunction.com I picked up a few weeks ago. And a Photon Freedom (white) that lives on my keychain. Oh, one more EDC--my Petzl Tactikka Plus headlamp that lives in my laptop bag.
