Please leave feedback if you have ordered/are going to order or received one already.

Ah another from QLD. :) My P2D CE will hopefully be here in the next few days. Any comparison photos with an L1P?

Hi there sunny, thanks for the link. My friend ordered one, not exactly the P2D but the P3D and hopefully it has been shipped to here. I intend to try it out. Haven't actually bought any fenixes yet but the P2 series looks interesting.

Got a P3D-CE coming from PTS. Can't wait.

This is my first Fenix and I'm sorry to say that I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be... You could compare the HA to those cheap eBay police lights for a start. The Tailcap switch is a very thin feeling soft rubber and the mechanism is really average. I know I shouldn't be comparing it to my HDS U60 or my ARC AAA P, but it really does feel cheap. I wish I hadn't listed my HDS U60 on eBay before I had seen it. oh well...

I agree the build quality isn't the best, but compared to those dx lights and kai cheaper lights, it's night and day. Also the fenix regulation so far I believe is top notch! Does the arc AAA p or the hds u60 have a flat regulation?
Efficiency wise, I believe very few can match the fenix.

mine should be here tomorrow and i can hardly wait.:)

I guess I just wanted everyone to lower there expectations a little... Mine were obviously too high. For its size it has a very powerful beam but as for the rest of the light, I was a little disappointed.

Hi SunnyQ,

My P2D CE is expected tomorrow. :) :) :)

Just wondering ... if you had xxx expectations for the HDS u60 at xxx the price ... did you have the same correlation comparison to the p2d at ~ 55 bucks US? (doesn't the HDS come in at ~ almost 2.5-3 times the price?)

You're right... I was spoilt. But it does not change the fact that these lights have been hyped up beyond what I expected. And I still don't think that they are worth 10 times the price of an equivalent output/size/HA quality Kaidomain product. This is just my opinion. And like I said in my previous post "I just want everyone to lower there expectations a little", because mine were a bit too high... :)

My feeling is that Fenix lights have enough quality to merit their price, unless you get one of their lemons.

The Temptation is setting in

Re: Lots of photos of the new Fenix P2D CE... Might help some people still deciding.

My expectations are to receive a 160'ish lumen, multi-mode, $50 flashlight. I think I'll get just that. If the emitter isn't centered then I'm sure PTS will take care of me. If this baby had the Surefire logo on it...it would cost $200.

You find me a light from Kaidomain that is the same size, is as bright and efficient with multiple modes and 10 times cheaper ie 5 bucks - and il buy 1000 of them!!!

Check out the picture of the beam in the above link... is this what everyone is to expect?

Re: Lots of photos of the new Fenix P2D CE... Let us know what you think of yours...

I got a lemon Fenix and it went right back...was it bright?Yeah....was it made well? No. The emitter was off and the beam looked like a circle with a tumor growing out of it.

Was it worth the 55 bucks? Don't think so. I don't believe a lower price is an excuse for poor quality. As was mentioned I can get a real cheap light that works just about as well to send light downrange....

Re: Lots of photos of the new Fenix P2D CE... Let us know what you think of yours...

I'm worried my P2D is a dud now. Was posted thursday so should be here monday. I'll be chomping on my nails till then.

Re: Lots of photos of the new Fenix P2D CE... Let us know what you think of yours...

I have L0D-CE L1D-CE L2D-CE P2D-CE and P3D-CE.

Strange but true, the P2D is my least favorite of all of those BUT I've made it my EDC. Contradictory you say? Yup.

The P2D-CE is the best size that comes with a holster. (I think if I could find a decent tiny holster for the L0D-CE, I would carry it instead... but I digress...)

The problem with the P2D-CE is rechargeable batteries. With a 3.6v RCR123A it's always on Turbo. No lower levels available. On a 3.0v RCR123A it's on Turbo or close to it until the voltage drops enough for the regulation to kick in. So I'm stuck with Lithium primaries.

The P3D-CE is the brightest (slightly over the L2D-CE) and supposedly has the longest runtime on low (65 hours claimed vs. 55 hours claimed for L2D-CE). It's also the best size in my hand. It's too large (for me) EDC on a belt holster.
