Hi Alan,
the brass Arcs are not available anymore...

There were only a couple made (8 I think) and they were auctioned for the benefit of CPF.

(needless to say they were great money raisers, there was one going for over 300 dollars...

)

Was it ever explained why these wouldn't be made commercially available? They look beautiful, and there's lacquer coating techniques available for brass that are extremely durable.

i just sold one of my modified maglites for $55 dollars, if anyone would like to send me a brass arc aaa for that price, i'm sure we could work something out.

they are so bueatiful.

i would personally like to see a tungston model

A tungsten one would weigh 6 ounces empty!!
Titanium is the way to go, but the knurling would be a PITA.........

Dear X-Ray, Is your LE light-colored like your posts or darker like your collection picture?

Hi Carl,

It's hard to judge how the color of my LE compares with the average (I only own one, the collection shots belong to someone else)

Looking at other peoples pictures it would seem that mine is slightly lighter than the average.

The picture in my sig line looks very light, but I think this was caused by the close proximity of the camera flash.

As you can see the flash makes quite a difference to the color of the Arc LE.

This last picture is about the closest I have to the actual color of my LE (was taken with no flash and adjusted with photoshop for an accurate match)
