Pila 600p and pila chargers

Hi all,
I have read through a bunch of threads but I still need to ask.

Are the pila 600p and pila charger still considered the best/safest way to go for the 18650 battery?
I read a post about 2 years old now and am just wondering.

I see many posts about aw batteries.

I'm just trying to get the best I can.

Sorry if I'm re-hashing this topic.

I haven't seen comparisons of the Pila and AW cells. I've seen many about AW and what I call garbage brands. I wouldn't buy the garbage and I feel very comfortable with AW.

Based on Pila's reputation (no comparison testing), I would assume that Pila cells are good. Perhaps you might consider buying both and doing a comparison for the rest of us?

Many here still buy garbage cells because they're initially cheaper. If they don't last as long or give as long a run time, they end up being more costly than the more expensive cells - kinda like a radial tire vs a conventional tire.

The Pila charger is still the best small non hobbyist type charger for those cells.

I'm new with the 18650's but they are everywhere here.

When I first signed up here I got into the surefire batteries and the luxeon 3's.

Now I figure it's about time to upgrade everything so here we go again.
I think I will go for the Pila IBC charger first.

Bought Pila IBC a few months ago. The charger is great. Using it with AW 18650s obviously, which I can recommend too.

The pila 600p seems a bit pricey but I guess in this case you get what you pay for.

I am waiting for a new light coming in with an ultrafire 18650.
I couldn't pick the battery and the charger for it just plugs into the flashlight with what looks like a wall wart in between.

It was a cheapo so we will see.

I use 2 Pila IBC 4 stage chargers #BC01-AC01 as my primary chargers. This is the best portable charger on the market IMHO for RCR123 through 18650's......:devil:
