Pissing and Moaning

GOD I love to **** and moan..probably more than anyone here and certainly more than anyone here knows.

I see the CPF Underground as a great resource for all like me who have some pent up **** and vinegar....or who want to just plain gripe.

I have learned enough in my older age not to **** in public so this experiment is not all that it would have been to me a few years ago, however it seems like a great idea and I shall probably stick my "opinion" in there on occasion.

Now the point:

I see some people still want to be "pointed" with their posts about certain things and people.

OK..no problem.

I just think there is a GREAT place to do it...other than here and just "one door away".

I checked out the Underground last night. It was kinda like a Jerry Springer-ized CPF, you can even use the "s" word! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Very entertaining reading, but a bit troubling also. There are some very strong opinions being presented without any sugar coating. I hope that they stay there and don't come to CPF, and ruin the civility we enjoy here. I think this is going to be easier said than done though. I guess time will tell...

If you're moaning while pissing, I suggest that you see a doctor as the condition is just going to get worse. A course of antibiotics might help a great deal...

Around here people were forced to remain civil. You could discuss any ideas you wanted to as long as you kept yourself from acting like a child and followed the rules. And so a careful rebuttal and answer back and forth could take place.

I can't help but feel that the point of the 'new place' for heated discussions just remove the rules and the loudest angriest person will 'win' the argument rather than the most carefully researched and prepared. But I'll probably check it out once in a while. So far I don't feel the need to rebut over there.

How should discussions about the same topic be ignored on CPF while they heat up down there? Especially if the topic is considdered important?

things can certainly heat up over there.

but that is what it is for.

name calling (at least when i do it) is in jest--i still respect everyone! it is a generalized remark meant to needle.

insults arent necessary (IMO, an insult is not the same as name calling, it is a specific remark intended to assult the integrity).

the discussions can be fun, as long as nothing is taken personally.
it is just the internet, so i dont give a rip if i "one-up" someone or if i am "one-upped".

remember, it is just fun, and even if things get hairy, i can still sit down with an "opponent" and have a beer--no hard feelings.

Thank you jlh. This is my 11th or 12th this year. I have had around 60 so far. My left kidney is trying its best to quit on me but I am not ready to let it go /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif. Doctors cannot figure it out so I will just have to tuff it out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/faint.gif. No worries though, there are plenty of people suffering much more than I am in the world.

OMG LifeNRA I really feel for you. I had just once so small they can't even find it when it passed. That was a pain unbeknownst heretofore in my entire life. I can't imagine going through scores of them like you!

What's the explanation for having kidney stones? Too little water, too much calcium, excessive bone loss?

Thank you for your thoughts. I have been to so many doctors I cannot recall all their names. I have been put on several special diets that has not helped. I honestly believe it is just my body chemistry. I try to drink as much water as I can to help keep them flushed out. My left kidney swelled up a few months ago and nearly killed me because a stone got lodged in my tube. Doctor said I would have been dead in a week if they had not removed the stone. My kidney had swelled up to about 50% more than its normal size. My tube that runs from my left kidney to my bladder is very scared up and really makes the pain that much worse when I have a stone. The left kidney has produced the most stones though my right one has produced a few also. I wish I knew the answer to my plight but I just have to hold out until the doctors figure it out. Biggest thing is that I have two small boys and I am missing out on some great moments with them because of it. The emergency room knows me on a first name basis /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Believe me with all the suffering I have went through I have seen much worse suffering. I really do not feel sorry for myself. At least I really try not to /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I get tired of it and get mad /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rant.gif about it sometimes but I know that it could always be worse.
I'll just keep pissing and moaning /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif.

When I was a young man, I too had a kidney stone, it too was the worst pain I'd felt up to that time, and I broke out in a cold sweat and was seeing stars, dang near passed out.

Would not wish that on anyone, could not imagine having to do that very often.

Later, when I was 34 and again when I was 37, I had spinal nerves that were damaged. The first time, was definitely the worst, I sat in a fetal position for three days, not going to the restroom, eating, or moving much at all, and in too much pain to attempt to get to the car to go to the doctor. I'm glad someone invented surgery, I tell you!
