Hi,

I'm looking for a simple (don't care about programming different modes, don't care about strobe), very rugged (withstanding lots of dropping), 18650 light.

I guess it's pretty much a sturdy tactical light I'm looking for.

Prefer under $100.

I'm not too picky about size, it's replacing a Fenix TK11.

I was checking out the "Mil spec" Olight Warrior and EagleTac T20C2.... but I would like the experts' opinions before I make a purchase.

Thanks :twothumbs

The new Fenix TK30 is one option you might want to consider. :)

Jet-III M is promgrammable, but its also very rugged and simple. Tighten bezel and you're guaranteed max output every time you turn the light on, how much more simple can things get? lol

EagleTac T100C2 MK II.
Great light for the price. Heck for your requirements you could get 2!
I have recommended them to quite a few LEO's and I can tell you they are quite happy with them.

Simple UI. High/Low setting with no strobe option.

+1

I love mine! I came across it through a trade, and never looked at other lights the same again! The light does not get hot easily, and I am not afraid to run this light for long periods of time, unlike my other lights. Which is a huge weight off my shoulders...

Perhaps it would be helpful in recommending a replacement if we knew what you found unsatisfactory with the TK11.

First day using it I dropped it a couple of times, then it was broken (stuck on turbo). I got it replaced.

I'd like a more sturdy light option in the house and now I'm considering other brands.

Thanks for the great tips guys.

You can get a brand new SureFire 6P bored-out to 18650 for under 70 bucks here -->> http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=234868 There will be still money left for a high-quality Malkoff M30 drop-in.

Cheers.

Love my Olight M20 Warrior Premium R2 in Olive. Wide range of output, great run times, feels and looks very sturdy, but not heavy like stainless steal or other lights. It's the one light (that I have) I always trust and has never given me so much as a hiccup. Great accessories too.:twothumbs
