Today I wanted to do some runtime logging measurements, using my new USB capable multimeter. So I made this simple unit:
It uses a 3v CR123 as its power supply and the light sensor is the Texas Instruments OPT101 (datasheet /free samples here)
The schematic was pulled from the datasheet, as shown, I just added a switch and a couple of female conectors to measure with the multimeter.
The light sensor is on the opposite side of the switch behind some semitransparent material to lower the sensitivity. This can be done using a resistor, but I wanted simplicity, KISS principle rulez
