Help Support Candle Power:

These were some of the few that I took with my digital camera. (an old 1 MP Fujifilm) I much prefer a 35mm SLR, like the Olympus OM1-N that I too the rest of the pix with, except at times like these, hehehe.

The location is the city of Krakow, Poland. I was there visiting my girlfriend in January. If you ever go there, visit the Church of Corpus Christi, it is breathtaking. (neither of these pix show it, I only shot it on film.)

Nice dolphins there, Don. Really nice photo. Almost looks like a painting, sort of a surreal look to it. I've never taken UW pics before, but I am indeed impressed! I guess that housing really served its "porpoise". (Ba-Da-Boom /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

Where did you take the pic and what are the flowers?

Brock, I totally love that lighting shot. You're very good at that. Man there are some really cool photos here by everyone. I don't really have a best shot but these are some that I think are ok.

This one's my favorite--it's a pic I took of my friend on San Souci beach (Honolulu, HI) last year with my Canon S110.

I was the first one to brave the foot plus of snow in a city park next to our state capitol building during one of our freak blizzards this last winter. All I really know is they looked like some kind of cabbage looking plant before getting the snow cone treatment. Some were pale yellow and some were purplish-pink. My nature photography friends get extremely agitated when I don't know what I'm shooting. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The real beauty of digital is that you don't have to worry about film freezing and breaking or streaking in extreme cold. Camera preformed exemplary, photographer quit after about an hour. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here you go, I like this one...it's one of my personal bests:

Not really any comparison to some of the other posts here, but here's some of the best that I could lay my hands on at a moment's notice.

I'm guessing those "flowers" were kale, a kind of winter cabbage.
Around here, they're mostly purple and white; but creamy yellows & greens are also occasionally found.
