Inside the building it was really no comparison. The 120 won hands down.
Much wider spill from the beam lit up more of a room and was easier for my co-workers to operate (click switch). Tailstand ability was also a big plus, especially appreciated by the women going to the restroom
I ended up loaning out the 120 and keeping the L1 for my own use. It may sound strange, but the twisty switch on th L1 seemed to confuse some people.
I would have figured they were about even in ease of operation for non-flashaholics.
Of course, no one but me knew how much brighter both could be. L1 was used on low, and 120P at 10-15 lumens. No reaason to scare the natives.
