Just got these from Thomas D.
2100 mAh, min capacity 2000 mAh
"Ready to use", made in Taiwan
No visible stamps of dates/codes
Using new Maha C9K, 0G0E01, Refresh & Analyze, charge 700 mA, dis 300 mA
(at the lower end of recommended 0.3C charge range, discharge would be for common electronics)
charged/discharged (mAh) 131/2041, 153/2045, 179/2077, 165/2037
For those not familiar with the charger and LSDs, it starts by charging to full (which for LSDs that are already almost full is a low value) then discharges to empty (which is the true capacity at the given current, in this case 300 mA).
So they seem to deliver as promised. The highest charge of 179 mAh is 8.5% of nominal capacity. They were all very close to full.
The capacity is slightly below nominal but well above minimum. It is nice to have such consistency where all the cells are within a 5% range (100 mAh), similar to Sanyo's Eneloop.
I have to say at this point Sanyo's Eneloop and Maha products stand way above the crowd. I considered also getting the conventional higher capacity Powerex batteries but decided against it. With a few exceptions, my use frequency is low and they can sit on the shelf for a while before use. I'd rather have reliable LSDs that I can call upon at any time.
DISCLAIMER: I never used/saw any other brand LSDs and haven't read much about them, so not sure about their performance.
