Have you (or anyone) made any direct comparisons, and is the hotspot brighter because it's smaller? How would you compare the beam patterns?

Brightnorm,
A few of us have tried swapping out the PR with the McR-27. In most cases, an increase in lux of from 5% to 15% has been noticed. I attribuet this to what looks like a shinier reflective surface and not the actual reflective curve of the reflector.
