No problem. My GPS is actually set up for metric units, it says 301 meters, and I found a nifty converter that changes that to 329 yards. IIRC, a meter is 3.23ft, so it would also be around 950'.
I'm in the city, there's this building that's dark in the evenings (unoccupied, and thus less chance of PO'ing someone by accident), so I do my throw tests late at night.
There's another candidate for a 'range' I haven't used, which is a flat field with a little bit more distance, ~350 meters. One of these days I'll take my Mag85 down there /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
PS: You're right, both places are so well lit by ambient/reflected overhead light that I could walk around in both by 'starlight' alone, because (naturally) I seek out places with minimal light to do these tests and these two are about as good as I can make it. If anything, it underscores the power of the the lights we're handling.
