I have a Princeton Tec EOS that is a few years old. It has worked perfect until a few days ago and I found it with the battery dead. I installed new batteries and it came on in full mode automatically as I put in the last battery. Clicking the button on top will not change modes (it will flicker slightly) and it wont turn it off unless the batteries are removed.

Any suggestions?

Thank You

I had a switch die on an Eos a few years back, although it was not that old and I managed to exchange it at REI. Similar symptoms to those you describe -- found the batteries were drained, put in new batteries and the thing would not turn off at all.

I had a similar problem with an EOS, back before I switched to NiMH batteries. An alkaline batterie had leaked, and some of the goo was causing a short on the circuit board. A bad switch could cause the same symptom, of course.

Call Princeton Tec.

Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. I will contact the Customer support. I have been using my eo1 clipped to my hat and that works pretty well but I have missed the headlamp!
