Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster, rapidly becoming a flashaholic.
I'm hoping that someone can help me troubleshoot a problem with my 2D maglite, with one of Kaidomain's Q5 drop-ins (I hope posting the link doesn't break CPF rules).

I've had the torch for about 6 months, but it's only the onset of darker nights that has seen me use it on a regular basis. However, the last few times I have come to use it, with fully charged batteries, it won't work - well 50% of the time anyway.
Very strange, but I try and turn it on and get nothing. Then 30 minutes later, I turn it on again, and it works. There doesn't seem to be any reason. I've taken the drop-in out, tightened it, changed the battery contact spring in the base cap back to the original Mag one and generally tightened everything that can be tightened. However, nothing changes. It works when it feels like it, and stays off when it feels like it!
Could anyone suggest anything I can try?
Many thanks.
Paul
