The Protected UltraFire 14500 batteries (silver ones) are well made and a great compliment to any light able to use 14500s. Rexlight 2.0 ect...
Slightly wider (14.4mm), than the unprotected, so putting them in some lights could be tight.
This link is a small mod I did for one of my lights.

The PCB protection for the 'sliver' series is from 2.7~4.2V so no worries.

Overall, a solid investment on some great protected batteries.

I also have these batteries as well, from my observance, they are a bit too long to fit into a Dexlight without placing a little spacer about 1mm. I placed a copper wire wrapped around a battery one round to place between the head and the body. I now switch the battery through the tail only to make sure the copper wire doesn't move and cause a short. Otherwise, it should stay in there just fine and allows the usage of this protected 14500. Has been working just fine for me.

These are fine in a Rexlight, no spacer needed.
but use one in my C3,, so it seems to depend on the light.

I don't know of a shorter protected 14500...

Also, with more PCB Li-ions being released, manufacturers will have to compensate for the circuit and add bit of length.
