PT Eos mod question(s)

I am planning to mod Princeton Tec Eos with Seoul star led ( if there isn't any big advantage using Cree instead).

First question: What would happen, if I replace the 3*aaa battery holder with 4*aaa? (People have done that in Petzl mods) More light output (and more need for increased heatsink solution) or only longer burn time? Anyone has experience on that?

2: Should I upgrade the optics too, enough improvement? If so, which optics do you recommend?

More questions to come, I have to figure them out first

thanks for the excellent link! I am going to follow those instruction for sure. But nobody had actually done the 3*aaa -> 4*aaa or 4*aa conversion, still missing info on that....

If the answer isn't obvious in that thread, running 4xAAAs or 4xAAs increases runtime, but doesn't increase brightness.

When I try to read that link, I get:

Anybody else get this message?

TMorita, go to your User Control Panel (top bar) and change your settings to display less posts per page - that should fix that problem.

Changed it to 40 posts per page...works now. Thanks!
