I have two li-ion packs of 3 cells in series and use them in parallel for bicycle lights. I charge each pack separately with a Turnigy Accucell-6.

Could I safely rewire to have pairs of cells in parallel, and then put 3 of those in series? And then have just just one balancing charger connector? That would simplify a lot when charging, the whole thing could be charged at once. Each pair of parallel cells is charged as one, is that OK?

I would also like to add a third pack, and then it would be 3 cells in parallel, and 3 of those sub-packs in series.

Thoughts/ideas?

Yes, this should be possible.
But make sure that all cells have the same voltage before connecting them in parallel!
