Seems to be an common issue with this light?

1. put in packaged alkalines.
2.played with modes
3. not long after in the same day get flickering on moonlight
4. clean the contacts according to a youtube comment from someone else who went through support
5. now Moonlight and Low dont work.
Tried other batteries and programming in tight or loose. Everything is snug.

More often than not, it seems to be a common misunderstanding of how to operate these lights, but it appears as though you know how to operate it.

Is Moonlight and Low the only two modes not working? Did you program these modes to be activated when the head is loose or tight? When did the flickering occur? At turn on or during the entire time the light was turned on? You say Moonlight and Low don't work now. What do you see when you get to those two modes while cycling through the modes during programming?

I got an RMA and sent it back. I want the Regular version anyways, which I just ordered.

But

When entering programming mode, after the blinking it should be in Moonlight mode according to watching the youtube video from product page. For me I would have no light (even in the dark) after entering program mode (Tight or Loose). I would click off and on, no light. I would only get to see 3 levels of brightness up to Max before going into SOS next. If I left it in either of the first two levels it would blink after 10 seconds, basically programming in a mode with no light (Moon or Low).

Hi folks --

I hate to revive this old thread, but it seems to be the best place to ask for assistance.

Just yesterday, I clicked on my my 4sevens Quark AA2 Tactical to find that I could not get it out of "moon mode." I tried new batteries, snugging everything down after cleaning (detoxit gold) and lubing threads (nyogel). I also made sure the ring in front of the tail cap was snug and (because of the comment above) used a ring pliers to make sure the switch retaining ring was snug.

This light has basically served "nightstand duty" since I bought is a few years ago. I have it set on "moon" (bezel slightly loosened) normally so I can use it to check on my kids/protect their eyes if they play with it, etc. Even so, I did just use it last week to search for something in my attic and had no issue.

To me, it seems that something in the circut is bad now...and now I'm left with a REALLY long-lasting but VERY DIM light.
Is this the best I can hope for now?

If you swapped the head and tailcap of the light so that, when the light is clipped to the belt or pocket, it will be carried bezel-up, then try tightening the clip retaining ring.

I once had that problem where the clip retaining ring unscrewed to the point where it wouldn't allow the head to tighten all the way, robbing me of the primary mode until I figured out what the heck was going on. I tightened the retaining ring and, sure enough, the light was back to normal.

Thanks to both of you! I tried the swapping of the bezel/tail cap -- no luck. I also forgot their warranty was so long else I would just have contacted them in the beginning. My bad! Thanks again!

Ha! Good - freaking - luck !Mine is doing the EXACT SAME THING. sent in for repair, received it back...A week later and it's doing the same thing again.Great quality...eh?Very, very disappointing.
