Hi everyone,

As you can see Im new here.
I have just received my Quark torches (flashlight) today. I couldnt decide which one to go for, so I bought both a 123 2 regular and the tactical. These are bright little things but I am having some issues with the tactical.

I have managed to change it from strobe to high on the settings. I seem to be stuck now though, as it will not change from high to the next setting of low. I try the 4 quick turns also and it wont even let me programme it either.

Can anyone offer any help or have I just been unfortunate and received a faulty one?

Many thanks,
Darroch

Try just turning the head back and forth a few times while it is on until the light drops into low. Then tighten it if you wish to program the tight side, or loosen it if you wish to program the loose side.

Wait until it blinks 3 times, then you will be able to cycle through the outputs by clicking the switch.

Leave it on the output you like for about 10 seconds and it will blink again. It saved your settings and is ready to go.

You may simply not be activating the programming mode properly, the trick is to forget the whole counting thing and just twist it back and forth a couple times.

I don't know if there is a way to reset the light or not as I've taken the batteries out for up to an hour and the light still remembers the settings. I would email 4Sevens to see if they can help before trying to return it. Perhaps there is a sequence to reset the light or maybe it just needs to go without batteries for a day to reset?
:welcome:
Let us know what happens.

Strobe and high are the two default settings. One for tight bezel and one for loose bezel.

Are you sure you are doing the (tight-loose)x3 or x4 times properly?

Watch the video that was linked.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I watched the vid as soon as I realised I couldnt get it to work. I have emailed 4sevens and they advised a couple of things to try that have not worked. They have asked I return the head to them.

I must say however there customer service is excellent. I emailed and within mins they responded. I would like to say everyone gives cutomer support like this but they dont. So well done guys.

And thanks for the welcome.

I have swapped the tactical head on to the body of the other light and it works. I have cleaned the threads as there was to much lube all is well :grin2:

Ha! So it was something as simple as that...figures. I noticed my Quarks clicky was a little funny at first working only 75% of the time, but after a day of playing with the light, the clicky worked 100%. Probably the same thing, too much lube in the switch and it just needed to break in a bit.

Glad it's working for you!
