Question about the Surefire 9P

I have an old 9P (about 10 years old). I really don't use it much as I like my Fenix T1 for it's brightness.

Thought I'd upgrade my 9P with a LED drop-in. Have seen a few "300 lumen Cree R2" LED drop-ins on eBay. Does anyone know if those work or are they a waste of money?

In fact are there any thing else on the market that is brighter? I'm would like to turn the 9P into a weapons light.

I would say the Malfoff, but it has been sold out for a while. I saw one from Penguin last week, very impressive stuff.

thanks for the quick response. Do you know if there is a brighter addition? The BOG Q5 is only 230 lumens.:devil:

I'd like something that is at least 1,000 lumens...:wave::nana:

Yeah....flashlights are my other passions. Wish I knew more about them though.

I just picked up 5 Fenix P1D CE Q5s and a T-1.

I really like my T-1 and thought I'd carry that for my EDC instead of the 9P.

Thanks 270, I've come to realize a lot of us Gun guys are closet Flashlight guys too....oh and blades too.
