This is a serious question...
If you bought a flashlight based on what you read here, from what was a *good* name company...
And after 9 months it died.
You sent it back... they say they replaced the head.
You get it back, and not a week later it dies again.

What would you think/do?

I'm so freaking frustrated, and not sure if 1) they really did not replace the head 2) the light is crap 3) I've got bad luck with this brand.
  • What else could it be? If they indeed replaced the head, there's not much to these lights, from what I see!
  • I've purchased a couple Jetbeam's and Olights which have performed flawlessly, so I don't think its me! :nana:
  • I only used brand new Eneloops in it, so doubt its the batts...(well, I've also tried Alkalines to see if it does the same things, which it does).

Not trying to *rant*, just not sure what to do. I've sent an email to them, with a video of what the light does, but have yet to receive a reply from them.

Thoughts? Should I just give up on this brand, which everyone says is good, and write off my $70?

what brand and model? maybe somebody has had a similar problem and was able to figure out what was wrong.

any symptoms besides it being dead? does it occasionally work? has it ever flickered?
some of the most common problems has to do with the switch..

Was really trying to not turn it into a gripe about the manufacturer yet...as I haven't heard back from them on the second go around. But what it does is Sometimes It flickers, goes into a moonlight mode (regardless of the actual mode it's in) and won't change to any other modes. Sometimes it's just dead and no light at all.Acts the same if I put tinfoil at the cap end instead of the cap...The threads are clean, everything's tight, has done same with both eneloops and alkalines.

Sorry for long run on paragraph, it won't let me break it up on my iPad...

Send it back and tell them you want a full replacement light and not just a repair. Or, if you are the original owner and purchased it from a reputable dealer then contact the dealer and see if they can help you out. A good dealer may still just send you a new light and RMA the old one as busted and return it to the manufacturer for full credit.
