which one would you say is the best with the most output and furthest throw, and the best made for up to 130 dollars? but it must run on one battery?

Long throw requires a large head. There are smaller lights out there that still have decent throw, but the D-Mini is the absolute king of the 1 cell heap.

how about the new surefire L1 will that one throw ok? and how much abuse can it take?

How about the Olight T10 Q5 i have 1 on order from Fenix-Store they have pretty decent throw but not as bulky as a Luma D-Mini my D-Mini stays home most of the time becuz of the size of the head but 1 thing is for sure the D-Mini is the king of the single cell throwers!!!

The D Mini is smaller than you think. Maybe you need to check a picture of a human hand holding it.
There is some in Reviews section.

Good luck!

The new L1 throws OK, especially for being rated at 65 lumens. I'm thinking of sending mine to Milky for a serious lumen upgrade. As far as toughness, i'm pretty sure you could run it over with an 18 wheeler and it would still work, it's SOLID.

Milkyspit said that my ML-1x gets around 220 lumen on high. I'm using an AW RCR123 and I had him put in a Cree Q5.
