Does anyone know when the Mini Maglite 2AA Racing was released?

If those are stock batteries that may offer a clue.

They came with various battery brands at various times. Example, my Olympic minimag came with Kodack batteries.

Expiration date (if shown) can also offer a clue.

Kodak went out of business a few years back. It shocked me because it was a few years before that, that I read "Dracula" for the first time. And was hella shocked to see Kodak referenced in Bram Stoker's book.

Kodak supplied the film for the movie Openheimer.
Eastman Kodak is gone, yes but Kodak Alaris is still around. And Funai still produces electronic products with the Kodak name.

At one point they were hired by Uncle Sam to make gereric pharmesuticals but law suits ensued so that is on hold.

I have no idea where Kodak AA batteries were made.

Another color question: Is the one in the back orange? All three of these are late 1980s; the front two are the same color red but the lighter one is sun faded.
