Rayovac LED swap

Ok, I have the Lowes task force 2xC light with a cree, and a Rayovac sportsman extreme 2xAA. Would it be possible to take the cree out of the task force and put it in the Rayovac?

It'd be better to use an SSC P4 to replace a Luxeon.

Yes a Seoul P4 would be better if you want to swap a Luxeon for a current gen LED.

You also get to keep the Cree in the Taskforce.

If you are swapping the LED in the Rayovac, you can probably also swap the Cree in the Taskforce for one of a higher flux bin(more efficient and higher output for the same input power).

PhotonFanatic and Sandwich Shoppe also have bare U bin Seoul P4 emittors. If you live in the USA, I'd order from one of them because of shipping time even though their prices aren't as low.

It's pretty tight inside the head of the ROV Sportsman Xtreme.

I took the retainer clip off mine and decided to hold off on modding it until I get more modding experience.

One thing to take note of; if you swap a Luxeon for a SSC P4, you HAVE to isolate the slug on the P4 because it is positive. The slug on the Luxeon is negative.
