Real old Charger

Hey Guys,

I have a really old charger..says only for NI-CD....Bossman Fastcharge....output is 2.4v/240ma.

I have a few new chargers that seem flimsy in comparison and am wondering if I will mess up by using the old bossman for my 1.2 volt nimh aa and aaa cells.

I use these batteries in DX lasers and Cree lights.

Your charger is not suitable for charging NiMH cells.

Throw it away. Dumb NiCd chargers have no place in 2007.

I have the same charger!

I've charged NiMH in that charger and it seems fine.

You'll ruin your cells, not have them fully charged, or both.

Why be so quick to throw it away? People here will spend good money to ship Voltcraft cradles from Germany to wire up to Li-ion chargers, and old NiCD charger housings can be used in the same way...
