I am burning through these Sure Fire batteries almost faster than I can buy new ones. Is there a rechargeable setup that I can get for my Sure Fire power needs? Thanks.

Look in the Marketplace for AW's cells and charger. His cells are almost universally held as the best choice, on this forum. Other (more expensive) chargers are recommended, but with care, the AW-139 fast charger should work fine. :grin2:

I know there are some on here who do use rechargeables in their Surefire's, but I don't think Surefire approves of the practice. Hopefully you are at least getting your batteries on line. If you're buying them at the corner drug store, you're paying a lot more than you need to.

It would help to know what kind of light you have.

Before you buy some rechargeable batteries, make sure you know and understand the limitations and dangers that rechargeable batteries carry, especially for Li-ion cells. Good luck to you.

Big +1 on what Monkiee said.

You can get CR123's online for $1.50 to $2.00 a cell or AW sells 3.0 volt LiFeO4 R123 that I think are safer to use vs. the 3.7 volt Lithium ions. The LiFeO4 have less capacity but if you are the type to recharge frequently, then they may save you money.

My primary use light is the E2D LED.
I certainly do not want to use cells that would damage my equipment or pose a hazard.
I did not realize there was a special forum to post about batts. Sorry for posting in the wrong spot.

I inquired about using AW's RCR 123's in my Surefire L4 and he replied they would "fry" the circuit. Guess it's because the Surefire runs on 3 volts and the RCR's ar 3.7 volts. Some Surefires may run on 3.7???
