rechargeable cr123 or mod?

Just trying to decide weather to buy a PT Apex or the Apex pro. I use my headlamps alot and would like to use a rechargeable type battery. Are there any rechargeable battery's on the market that will come anywhere close to the burn time of a cr123 lithium? or is there a better way to power the pro?

All I know is that there are rechargables that will blow away Cr123's although they are larger.
