Is it possible to replace the glass lens on a 6p without the bezel tool? I have a Nailbender SST-90 (3-mode) on the way and my glass lens is broke. Dave was kind enough to send me a new lens for free but now i have to figure out how to install it without the tool.

i took mine out with a piece of wood- just whittle it down til it fits between 2 of the slots on the bezel. the wood didn't scratch the metal or the glass. i used a hardwood- curly maple- but a softer wood would probably work, too.

I just tackled this exact task 2 nights ago with my SF 6P.... I suggest you remove the bezel from the body, and place it in a bowl of hot water...let it soak 5-10 minutes (this allows any possible loctite to release). I then used a pair of needle nose pliers, and spread them wide enough to fit into 2 slots on the ring..... turned the pliers counter clockwise and off came the bezel ring. You then have access to the lense and can replace it with the new one.... I did not apply any loctite when I reinstalled the bezel ring, for my guess is I might be doing this again one day. :D

Hope this helps, and best of luck!

I just replaced a bezel on a C2 and used the same method as stated above, excpet I used a pair of scissors. I just opened them up to fit into the ring indents and turned. Once the bezel has been in boiling water for a minute or two, it comes out really easily.
