I have one of those old 1,000,000 candlepower or whatever they rate them at large diameter spot lights from back to the early '90s. The light still works, but I wonder about a strong LED conversion for it? The thing has to have about a 10" diameter reflector.

That's a Coleman, great light. It's also a spot light, so I recommend an HID conversion rather than LED.

Confirmed that it is a Coleman. On the HID though how fast do they come up to temp/brightness? Most HID's that I have seen take a while to come up.

Buy a FastBright brand and it will be 3 times rated brightness/Power in about 1.5 to 2 seconds, then taper down to rated brightness/power.

Contact Dave on that site, the owner. It's not really set up for commerce so you can order by using the website "contact" feature or calling is faster. Mention you're from CPF.
