User Interface
The user interface is easy to remember. For the variation of the levels, the Dobermann Pro uses the partial rotation (1/8 of a turn) of the head and the double-tailed key for "Momentary On" and "Constant Light".
Basically there are two modes of use that can be selected at will: Tactical Mode and Hunting Mode. The differences are listed below.

Tactical Mode
In this mode, when the head of the torch is completely screwed, with a partial click on the button in the queue you will have the "Momentary On" on the Turbo level, then when the button is released the torch will turn off.
If, on the other hand, the button is pressed fully until you hear the "click", the torch will enter "Constant Light" on the Turbo level. With a further total pressure until the click the torch will turn off.
When we are in "Constant Mode" it is possible to switch from the Turbo level to the Main2 level and vice versa. It is enough (with the torch on) to unscrew and screw the head back quickly to cycle the two levels.
To enter the Strobo special mode, it will be enough to slightly unscrew the head (1/8 of a turn), after less than a second the Turbo will be activated.
With the head unscrewed, with a partial click of the button we will have the "Momentary On" on the Strobe. With total pressure, however, the Strobe will be kept active. When the torch is on, it is possible to cycle on the Strobo2 and Strobo1 levels simply by quickly screwing and rewinding the head.
With a total pressure on the ignition button the torch will turn off and memorize the last level used

Hunting Mode
In this mode, when the head of the torch is completely screwed, with a partial click on the button in the queue you will have the "Momentary On" on the Turbo level as long as the button remains partially pressed. If, on the other hand, the button is pressed fully until you hear the "click", the torch will enter "Constant Light" on the Turbo level. With a further total pressure the torch will turn off.
If the torch head is unscrewed (1/8 of a turn) it is possible to cycle the Firefly1-Firefly2-Main1-Main2-Main3 "Additional Modes". To switch from one level to another, simply turn the torch off and on again (with full or partial pressure).

Turbo Level
There are two programmable Turbo modes: Turbo2 (1300lm) and Turbo1 (800lm). If for example the Turbo is programmed on the Turbo2 level, the Turbo1 level will be disabled and it will not be possible to use it.
To program the Turbo level, a procedure must be carried out which foresees (with the torch off) the partial pressure of the button in the queue for 15 consecutive times. At the end of this procedure, when the torch is switched on, it will emit 1 or 2 flashes, indicating whether the Turbo1 or Turbo2 mode has been selected respectively.

Body and materials:
The Armytek Dobermann Pro is a linear tactical flashlight with an aggressive design and purely shooting features.

The tested version is equipped with the small and powerful latest-generation XHP35 HI (in the Warm White version) capable of delivering 1700 LED lumens (1400lm OTF) to the Turbo. The color is very warm and with an excellent color rendering. On the armytek website the version with Cool color is also available.

Build quality, is excellent, thicknesses are abundant, weight is generous.

doberman%20(36).jpg

The head has a maximum diameter of about 34mm. Inside we find a deep mirror polished reflector and the XHP35 HI led well centered.
The bezel is very protruding (about 1cm), laced, protects the lens very efficiently. The latter has the classic anti-reflective treatment.

The Bezel is made of steel with an ultra-resistant titanium coating.

The Dobermann is a real shooting torch with a beam whose spot exit angle does not exceed 5 °.

The central body is about 7cm long considering also the threads. Here we find already mounted the Cigar Grip in rubber, very convenient to use and easy to extract. It allows you to hold the flashlight in cigarette-style hand or firmly grasped in the palm of your hand

On the body there is a groove where it is possible to hook the belt clip. The clip offers an exceptional grip on the torch and an excellent grip on clothing even though it is very small.

doberman%20(21).jpg

doberman%20(56).jpg

The threads arrive well lubricated with Nyogel. A double O-ring ensures the total waterproofing of the torch. They are anodized and allow the physical lock-out of the interface with the classic ¼ of a turn.

The tailcap has a square profile with rounded corners. Here is the double-stroke ignition button for managing the interface. It is made of rubber, very reactive and at the total pressure emits a loud and ringing "click". Pressed only partially it does not emit any noise. A small hole allows the fixing of the laynard.

The anodization is opaque, well made and uniform over the whole body of the torch. The special finish that Armytek adopts on its torches makes it possible to have an excellent grip while not possessing any type of knurling.

The lettering is abundant, well done and well centered

At the negative pole there is a robust and resistant spring, while at the positive pole there is a smaller and very rigid spring.

doberman%20(48).jpg

The Dobermann cannot be used in tailstanding.

doberman%20(65).jpg

The Dobermann has an antirolling profile that prevents the torch from rolling on inclined surfaces

The Dobermann Pro can be powered by different types of 18650 batteries both flat top and button top. Alternatively, the 2xCR123A, 2xRCR123 / 16340 and 2 × 18350 power supply configurations can be used. The accepted input voltage, in fact, varies from 2.7V to 13V.
Armytek recommends the use of high-drain cells (at least 7A of discharge).

Along with the torch comes a comfortable Nylon holster, a wrist strap, a spare tire for the switch, two O-rings and a belt clip

Beam, Tint and Beamshot

Final Considerations
The Dobermann Pro is a beautiful tactical shooting torch, with many well-spaced levels and two convenient modes of use to be exploited for multiple use cases.

The materials are of quality, abundant thicknesses and everything is taken care of in the smallest details.
The switching system is beautiful thanks to the rotation of the 1/8 head and the power button which allows both the "Momentary On" and the "Constant Light" is very practical.

We have a real firefly level of only 0.13lm with an exceptional theoretical duration of 200 days and a 1300lm Turbo. The beam is uniform, well focused and with an excellent shot. There are also two programmable Turbo levels.
The color is warm, of a nice yellowish Warm and that gives good colors especially in nature.

Temperature control works effectively and protects the torch from overheating

The Armytek Dobermann is a Flashlight to recommend!!

Nice review. Part of it is in Italian but the rest is readable.
I have 3 dobermans, 2 of this version. It's one of the most pleasant beams on a light. Makes it a shame to put it on a weapon. "Oohhhh! Look at the pretty animals!" BAM!
