Has anyone seen this yet? I found it here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/lights/8db4/

(I searched around here and haven't seen anyone other posts about this)

Looks to me like it uses an RGB LED, a tail clickie to turn on and the button on the head to switch between colors. It definitely looks like it throws some decent light too

It's the last thing I need to be spending money on right now but I might not be able to resist. There's one on ebay too

Looks quite nice actually, not bad for ~$30.
Wonder if color rendition is improved when its on mix.
 
RGB LEDs producing "white" light are still spectrally messy (peaky). The resulting color response is not the same as a broad-spectrum source. Some colors look okay, others not. This according to an engineering technician I know that works in a lighting laboratory.

Still, makes for a fun light :wave:
