600 RPM for the Drilling and 150rpm for the tapping. If I where to do this job all the time I would setup a block with 3 holes for a drill, countersink and tap and it would have gone much faster. I did 70 pieces drilled and tapped both ends. At first I used a cut tap and it was spinning in the chuck during the tapping operation. I also initially had the drilling at 1000rpm and broke the drill on the first hole when the drill loaded up. At that time I was thinking what the hell did I get myself into. A quick order to MSC and the forming tap and correct drill (.125) was here the next day :)
