I am sorry to report that Bill passed away late last year; Dec.11 of 2022.

Definitely one of the 'Old Timers', with an '03 join date; Bill became a CPF staff member at the same time as Norm and I (something like '09 or '10); the three of us started as 'Spaminators' then gradually got more Mod permissions & responsibilities as earlier CPF staff members moved on. We were the last of Darrell's 'rubber glove' initiates, lol. ;-)

Bill was a steadfast Mod here on the forum - never any drama or longwinded ramblings, just a solid CPF member in every respect; outstanding judgement of members' post content. A wide variety of interests which covered most everything EDC - knives were one of the topics he followed and contributed to. A revolver aficionado - for good reason. 👍 I know he relied on Malkoff products for his LED dropins, so he knew the good stuff for sure.

A rock-solid member and a good friend;
RIP Bill 🕯️

In fall '21 Bill asked me about a spooky movie & what I thought of it,, just a couple simple posts.
Sometimes that's all it takes between a couple CPF members to have even the smallest connection.

Hope you enjoyed the movie Bill 🎇

Rest easy Bill. He was a good Mod and a helpful contributor here. I have been thinking about him and his sudden silence for a while and I suppose it sadly makes sense now. ;(
I think his wife's name was Patty, if I recall him discussing their outings. My sympathies go out to her and the rest of his family.

I am sorry to hear this. I didn't have much direct interaction with him but he struck me as a fair and level headed moderator. RIP good sir. You done good during your time on this earth.
:au:

Terrible news! Very sorry to hear of his passing. Had countless interactions with him on CPF. Cannot recall a single negative one. R.I.P.

Hi there. BullzeyeBill aka Bill Rees was my dad. I was missing him the other day and knew I would find treasures of his words here at Candle Power Forums.

Thank you for your kind sentiments about him, he was a good man. He loved this forum and talked about it all the time. Even when he could barely see or hear he was reading what he could.

Again, thank you. 💗
