a riveting performance as Seargent Foley established him as a powerful on screen presence and earned him a place as a Hollywood icon.

A sad fact of life that now is the time so many of the Hollywood big names of my younger years that I admire so much are finally leaving their lives on Earth behind.

Sadly I missed this bit of news when it happened. Yet another bright light gone.

Godspeed, Lou. Your legacy lives on.
