Another icon gone too soon. I loved watching the The Monkees TV show, who knew they'd have so many hits.

Yes. And his mom invented White-Out (Liquid Paper). Her day job involved typing and she was also a painter, so she used her painting skills to concoct a white paint that matched the color of the typing paper at work.

Anyway I'm sad to see him go also. Their show's creation was based on the first Beatles movie A Hard Day's Night - a mix of visual hijinks and jaunty music.

I did not like the Monkees as a concept but did like the song Pleasant Valley Sunday.
