Has anyone tried the ballistic nylon Ripoff CO-69 holster for their U2? Do you need to remove the clip for it to move freely in the holster? Thanks!

Have not tried that, but I do use Wolf Eyes holsters for my U2 and Kroma. Although they are not as tough appearing as a Maxpedition holster, they have held up quite well and since they lack the elastic of the Maxpedition design you can holster and pull the lights easily. Plus the WE holsters are very inexpensive and thus could be replaced at a minimal cost.

I believe the size I use is one wmaller than that used for the Raider. Mike at PTS shpould be able to guide you if you choose to try one.

I have a number of Ripoffs holsters. I carry cell, multitool and various flashlights. They are a favorite and their belt clip is the best there is.

Many of their holsters are available in two materials. Ballistic nylon and a smoother padded nylon. In neither case will the clip interfere with the contents. I prefer the softer and more flexible padded nylon. It also offers some added protection for your light.

For the U2:
CO-69 Ballistic
CO-181 Padded
