From Target for $24.99+.

Comes with 3 AA included. Rated at 85 lumens (at max, with med, low and strobe levels) and rated to run for 16 hours at max output (actual testing with a 2500 mAh rechargeable - ran at max for 2 hours then dropped down to min).

I guesstimate 65 to 70 lumens of light output at max, not 85 lumens as claimed. But 65 to 70 lumens is pretty good for a headlight I would say. I did this by comparing with the L2D CE and max is as bright as L2D CE's high (as in max, high, med, low). So the max on this light setting is approximately as bright as the high setting of the FENIX L2D CE (L2D CE would have max, high, med, low).

Fits right onto my caving helmet headlight hooks, a Black Diamond Tracer.

Pretty bright headlight, yellowish tint. Battery compartment is in the back separate from the LED assembly. Rear battery compartment comes with a separate red LED rear lights to act as safety lights to tell people from behind you that you are there.

The spill and the throw almost looks like one big blob. The spill diameter is pretty small. The center throw is almost not discernible and blends into the spill. So the light is pretty much all throw as the spill acts as part of the throw, makes the throw a bit wide.

The only issue I have with this light is that taking the batteries out of the battery compartment is a bit tough as the compartment is tight for certain AA that are a tad bit thick. I did notice though that Eneloops and Energizer Lithiums fit just fine and slide out easily since these AA battery brands are thinner.

Packaging carries a warning that light will get hot after 10 minutes of continuous use and it did get very hot during my test. I cannot leave my fingers on the plastic part surrounding the LED for more than a second.

I would rate it good buy for the price, the brightness and the runtime on easily available 3 AA. I got two of these headlights now :)

Did a test, put in freshly charged Sony 2500 mAh. Turned the light on at max. Took about 2 hours to reach below 50% light output. By 2 hours and 30 minutes, the light output is the same as the L2D CE's low mode.

There was a thread about this RR K2 headlamp a couple months ago.

IIRC, someone melted theirs using Energizer lithiums. It seemed the heat-sinking for the K2 is somewhat suspect. Be careful.

I ran the RR K2 3AA for roughly 7 hours on max which drained the Energizer lithium batteries but did not damage the hardware. However, this was on a bike so it was getting airflow.

OK, I'll keep mine on low or med but never for too long on max. But I think my forehead will let me know if it is melting.
