Anyone any idea what lumen rating this is supposed to be? I'd take a guess around the 150 mark, but that's a pure guess. I just picked one up for £5 which I think was a pretty good bargain!

Should see em through until I can decide which super-torch I want. :laughing:

I'd be surprised if its more than 40-80 lumens.
There's a reason why lights with many 5mm LEDs aren't very popular around here...

Yeah... it's not great... but it was £5... less than I usually pay for a set of 4 D-cell batteries. It's certainly an improvement from the 2D incandescent one I had. There's no way it's as low as 40 lumens. It's slightly brighter than the flash LED bulb in my Sony Ericsson W995, and I'm pretty sure that's a Luxeon Flash which is supposed to be about 70 lumens.

I'm still drooling over the Fenix TK40 .... it's complete overkill... but it's so awesome! The NiMH AA thing is very appealing to me, as I already have a couple of 1-hour AA NiMH chargers and cells are readily available. Anything Li-ion I have to send away for, buy a good charger, etc. etc. and it all adds to cost.
