can the exolion run a primary cr2? If not why don't we just use a U-bin LED?
With the TXOH, the Exolion will be able to run on primary CR2 in an emergency. In any case, it is easy to change out the sandwich in the Exolion or the emitter to a U bin when you get it.

Hi Greg,
I'm just curious to know what you've identified as sufficient interest for this project?
Thanks,
Brice

I'm hoping there will be at least 100 sign-ups, but will still go ahead if there are less...

List updated.

I'll let this thread run for two or three weeks to see the response. Then at that time, I'll start collecting payment, and start sending these out about 4 weeks after that.

Can you give us any information on the type of steel you plan to use? Also, are you planning to heat treat it, and if so, how?

thanks!

The steel specifications are not confirmed yet. I will have more information later.

Would be best to be using "heat-treated SS440C" ...
The heat-treating bringing it to maximum hardness.

Can this light also accept regular CR2 cell?
How will behave the FluPic with only 3V from a regular cell?
Thanks.

With a TXOH emitter, you can use a standard CR2 in an emergency. It won't be as bright as the RCR2, but will have quite a long runtime. The FluPIC behaves the same way with a standard CR2 as it does with the RCR2, just not as bright.
