Hello all,

A friend of mine gave me a Ryobi +1 battery pack that wouldn't drive his tools. I carefully dissembled the pack and inside are 10 batteries marked as follows (blue shrink wrap):

LS IMR-18650BB
YR0288 20047783 made in china

Following the guidelines laid out here I tested with my DVM all cells and they range from 4.06 to 4.07v so I am assuming they might be good and are worth charging next to see if they hold their charge.

Does anyone know the specifications and capacities on these cells?

(tried searching and googling, no joy)

Thanks

Brian

I assume this is a new lithium pack and not a NiCd pack. It's hard to pull capacity figures off of chinese data sheets anymore. Your best bet would be to use a charger than can discharge and record capacity. If they don't power his tools they may not have much capacity left.

I don't know if you have seen these sites. I found them while researching buying the One+ tool set.

Booked marked those pages, thanks so much.

Mine is in fact a P104 pack containing ten 1200mAh 18650 cells. Got it from a friend who just purchased a new kit and this pack would charge, but not drive the tools. He got a replacement, and I got the bum pack. I have dissembled it, but so far all the cells I have tried to charge (4) don't seem to hold their charge, dropping from 4.20 to 4.13 overnight.

Also looks like these are much better suited for a high drain/load application and not so good for typical commercial 18650 single cell type light (not to mention the low capacity rating 1200mAh).

Thanks to all who looked and for the informational links, this is one of the most useful forums I have encountered in many years of surfing ( I go back to the 1200baud modem days myself)

Cheers

Brian

P.S. If anyone wants these, PM me and for postage I will ship them to you.

Brian,
If you haven't got rid of them yet I'll buy them from you. I use them for many different uses.
Thanks,
Bill
