Is it possible to run 2 of these wired in series with 14.4 volt battery pack?

Are you certain about this ~7V max ?? If it won't accept 8,4V battery packs it will be a great problem for many people.

It accepts 8.4V but the light is heated for 1-2 hours until the voltage get down to 7.4V.

warren,

Can you give any screen shots of the Scolo by itself? I'm looking for a road bike light for night riding. Ideally, one with good throw and decent flood. From the above, it looks like great throw.

Thanks,

Mayqswet

It says 7w max. However, on ebay someone is selling these lights with a six-AA battery connection. Doesn't that put out 9v?

(BTW - it's an awesome looking light. Very clean look, good run time and lots of lumens)

Got my scolo last week - an excellent light

I ride forest singletrack off road and use it with a 5w halogen headtorch and it has a great throw and a great balance of flood and nice sized spot.

It gives out more light than my other 10w halogen.

I've run it with a 6v 4.4Ahr existing bottlecage battery I have from electron lights and it was still going strong after 3hrs.

I've not seen it run out yet!

I'm going to run it with 6xAA batteries NiMH (1.2*6=7.2V) should fit under the stem and make a long lasting, light weight, bright light.

An excellent product - well done Warren!!
