You guys must be too well dressed. Wear blue jeans with holes, old shoes, and a ratty t-shirt and it'll never happen. Geoff
I did that, but now they stop me in hardware stores....

It happened most whenever I went into electronics stores with my office building security uniform on after, or before work.

It was;
Charcoal grey slacks,
Black dress belt,
White long sleeved shirt,
Navy blue blazer stayed in the truck. ;)
A good clip on tie,
Black dress shoes with black, or even white socks. :p
No beard, or mustache.
Hair nice and neatly buzzcut.

Some days, it seemed to happen every 50 steps, or so.

There was plenty of time for me to go over the electronics sales ads in the paper at work. :thinking:
Then, straight from work to the electronics store the next morning. :naughty:

It happens a lot, and sometimes it takes a long time before people understand I don't work there because I help them. Once the people actually working there told me I should send in an application.

It's an honorable thing to be so helpful to customers when you don't even work there. It sets a good example for others. It can also bring a chuckle when the customer finds out. :)
