Searching for Ni-MH C cell

Has anyone found a quality C cell with +5000mah actual capacity ? A few weeks back I read a thread that talked about a 6000mah cell. I have searched for hours and cannot find the thread that mentioned the cell manufacturer.

(I know nothing about this vendor, I was just looking for C size NiMH cells and this was one of the first page hits.)

I'm not sure, but I think PowerEx and AccuPower are both Maha brands. Maha is usually well regarded.

You might want to consider the Accupower Evolution Low Self Discharge C cells:

Even though they're only rated at 4500 mAh, my own testing indicates that they can provide pretty close to 5000 mAh.

Depending on your planned use, they may well provide better usable capacity than the standard NiMH cells which would probably lose most of their additional capacity before they're used up...
