I'm a newcomer, this forum is very good, it's my first post, hope you like.
Usually, HID for lighting, but sometimes, HID for the manufacture UV. Our eyes can't detect UV, but UV can excitated some material produce visible light.

HID UV-flashlight, lens is black, visible light can't pass.

Can you see the lighted objects by the eye?
Or do you need a camera or googles with some kind of filter?
When is it useful to have such a light?

1. Some objects can be seen.
2. No, General Camera.
3. Medical, Forensic, Mineral...
 
could this ward off vamps and zombies?

on a more serious side, great pix, ordered some uv lasers, i should hope to get the same results if i defocus it.
