Welcome to CPF. I discovered that I much prefer the A2 to the E2e, despite its higher cost. The dual-light feature and the regulated output make it a sweet light. I no longer use the E2e and have had the head converted to an E2+, which is a perfect companion to the L4 when I'm carrying that.
i agree with paul, and would choose the A2 over the E2e. the A2 has regulation, a two-stage switch, and a low-output led option at the push of a button /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The thing that continues to keep me from declaring one of these as better than the other is the modularity of the E2E. With the A2, that's what you get. Granted, it's a fine light, however with the E2E as a base, you have so many more options with it.
If I could only have one of the two mentioned it would be the A2. The reasons are: Regulated output, tighter beam and more throw than E2e, low beam output for when you don't need so much light.
However, I would rather have the L4 and an E2e bezel w/lamp (MN02 & MN03). That way you can swap between the L4 and E2e heads on one body.
But they are all great, just get the one that will fit your needs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif If you want a hi-low beam in one light then get the A2.
